“Boys II Planet” Trainee Accused Of Animal Abuse
Boys II Planet trainee Jeong Sanghyeon is facing intense backlash online after photos of him carrying his pet cat outside went viral on social media.

The controversy began when fans and netizens spotted multiple images of Jeong casually holding his cat while out on walks and even visiting public places like a local mart. While the photos may have seemed harmless at first glance, many netizens were quick to criticize the behavior as irresponsible and potentially dangerous for the animal.

In South Korea, and in most parts of the world, it’s strongly advised not to take cats outdoors unless they are properly secured in a pet carrier or equipped with a harness and leash. Cats can easily become frightened and bolt in unfamiliar environments, and taking them out unrestrained exposes them to cars, dogs, loud noises, and other threats.

Netizens condemned him, expressing concern for the cat’s emotional well-being. Many accused him of “animal abuse.”

- Just why would you take a cat on a walk?
- As a cat owner, this makes me so stressed out.
- Don’t raise pets so easily.
- Cat owners are so stressed about this. Isn’t it better to remove the post?
- He’s treating the cat like an accessory or doll.
As of now, neither Jeong Sanghyeon nor the Boys II Planet production team has responded to the allegations.
