Actress Announces Pregnancy With 16-Years-Younger Boyfriend
A celebrity couple with 16-year age gap has announced that their first child is on the way.

Maki Yoko is a 42-year-old Japanese actress who has appeared in a number of films and television series since the early 2000s, including the American horror movie The Grudge, Battle Royale II: Requiem, and Voice: 110 Emergency Control Room. She and actor Katayama Reo got married in 2008, had a daughter together in 2009, and divorced in 2015, when Maki was 33 years old.
In 2023, Maki made headlines for her romantic relationship with Katsushika Shin, an actor 16 years her junior. 27-year-old Katsushika is a little-known actor who reportedly comes from a wealthy family, making him “third-generation rich.” He had a supporting role in the 2025 crime series Keishicho Mayaku Torishimarika Mogura.

Maki recently announced her pregnancy and revealed her baby bump on the YouTube channel she operates with her brother. “I, Yoko Maki, am pregnant,” she told viewers. “I’m already at the stage where I can feel the baby moving.”
Maki said that her pregnancy is “almost like a miracle,” and she is feeling some anxiety due to possible medical concerns because of her age. However, she also told viewers that she and the baby are doing well.
