Chen Zhe Yuan is a 28-year-old Chinese actor who is best known for his roles in the wuxia series Handsome Siblings and Our Secret. His popularity rose in 2023 after he starred in the popular series Hidden Love.
Recently, Chen appeared in an episode of Keep Running, a Chinese spin-off of the popular Korean variety show Running Man. Like Running Man, Keep Running features various games, including ones where celebrities get wet and wild.
During a pool game, a cast member pointed out that Chen’s wig was beginning to look loose, but he decided to leave it on for his punishment to prove the wig’s quality. Because of this decision, Chen got two punishments for losing a game instead of one!
When Chen’s cast-mates blasted him with water, his wig went flying, exposing his crew cut. The cast burst out laughing, calling for the cameras to stop rolling, as they tried to put the sopping wet wig back on his head to protect his dignity.
Why was Chen wearing a wig in the first place? He was hiding his “scary” short haircut after having had his hair buzzed off for a new role.
After the show aired, Chen shared the clip of his mishap on Weibo, writing, “Let’s just pretend this never happened, okay? Nothing fell off. I’m totally fine.”
At least he has a sense of humor!
