Netizens Call Out Media Outlet For Invading aespa Giselle’s Privacy
Recently, a news article about aespa’s Giselle reportedly renting out a home went viral on community sites.

The article reported that Giselle recently secured a mortgage with a maximum credit limit of ₩100 million KRW (about $71,900 USD) on the luxury officetel Pie n Polus in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.

This mortgage was believed to be secured instead of a jeonse (long-term lease). Given the low deposit compared to the market price, the monthly rent is expected to exceed 15,000,000 KRW ($~10,678.13 USD).
According to the real estate registry, Giselle secured a mortgage for the house on January 21. The officetel has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Interestingly, former SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo Man also resided and owned a home in this complex.
However, the article received a negative response from netizens.

- “I don’t think an article about this was necessary.”
- “It’s not even an article about a celebrity making billions off of selling or buying a home. Why would you reveal a female idol’s residence?”
- “Why are they posting an article about this?”
- “Has this news site ever released an article about an idol’s rent before?”
- “It’s not like she bought a house…it’s just about her monthly rent…why would you write about it?”
- “Isn’t an idol’s residence private information?”
- “Do we have to know where an idol lives and how much rent they pay? Can’t believe they posted an article like this and make money from it.”
- “Ok? I hope the reporter reveals their address too.”
