Girl Group Disbands Following Changes In Management At Agency

A rookie girl group is saying goodbye to fans and going their separate ways.

Meiten is a four-member Japanese idol girl group that debuted in June 2023 with an “apprentice magical girl × idol” concept. On June 22, 2025, the group’s disbandment, scheduled to take place after their final concert on August 14, was announced, along with the reason for it.

Structural changes within their agency have made it difficult for Meiten to continue their activities, and keeping the group going had become unfeasible. In a statement, Meiten’s management explained that the disbandment had been thoroughly discussed, and alternatives, such as restructuring or transferring the group, had initially been considered.

This was a decision reached with great reluctance. The members gave their all to every performance. Though their paths will now diverge, we sincerely hope fans will continue to support them warmly in their future endeavours.
