Busted: JYP Idol Got Caught Renting An Apartment For An Entire Year While Supposedly Living in Dorms
One standard part of the K-pop idol and trainee experience is staying in company-managed dorms. This is usually done for several reasons: trainees can stay somewhere close to the company, foreign trainees or those who may live too far for a daily commute are given a place to stay, and the company can monitor them closely.

Recently, a former JYP Entertainment idol revealed that he and another person managed to escape the accommodations provided to them!
In a recent episode of Workdol, IDLE‘s Minnie and GOT7‘s BamBam took on the challenge of working at a Thai restaurant.

After completing their tasks, the two idols sat down to eat and answered questions from the staff, including how it felt to move into dorms from their homes in Thailand.
Minnie talked about her father’s reaction to the rooming situation, after which BamBam shared he had a similar experience with roommates. BamBam explained that the dorm he lived in at first had three bunk beds in a row and that he roomed with GOT7‘s Jackson Wang and Mark, and members of Day6.
The two discussed other grievances of living in dorms, which led BamBam to reveal that he and Jackson “ran away” from the dorm without telling anyone. Somehow, BamBam was able to rent an apartment for an entire year before getting caught!
When living under those circumstances, his actions were completely understandable!
