Unbearable “Poop” Stench Turns Popular Group’s Concert Into A Literal Sh*t Show

The opening of DAY6’s highly anticipated 10th anniversary tour has gone viral for all the wrong reasons as fans complain the event was ruined by the unbearable stench of… poop.

DAY6 kicked off their latest Asia tour, The Decade, this weekend with a historic sold-out show at the 40,000-capacity Goyang Stadium, which recently hosted BLACKPINK’s Deadline concert. Shortly after the show ended, however, Korean community platform TheQoo was flooded with dozens of posts from concertgoers complaining about a foul fecal odor that permeated the entire venue throughout the performance.

• “Even DAY6 must’ve talked about the poop smell after coming down from the stage.”
• “Damn, singing live while smelling poop… If it were me I’d be like ‘You looked so~ beau–blegh…'”
• “I think one of the Day6 members tilted their head when the poop smell started spreading in the beginning.”
• “Where did they even hold the DAY6 concert for there to be a poop smell?”
• “The poop smell at the DAY6 concert was so bad, I thought maybe I pooped myself and didn’t know.”

While many netizens speculated that there must have been a livestock farm nearby, Goyang locals are insisting they’ve never smelled such a bad stench in the area before. Similar complaints quickly popped up on X, with casual and diehard fans alike unable to focus on anything but their disgust.

It was a fertilizer/poop smell…

It was so hard that I pulled out my yadom (Thai nasal inhaler) and held it up to my nose.

Seriously, the fertilizer smell kept going for a whole hour straight.

Fans at the concert were so distracted by the smell, which reportedly reached the second tier of the stadium, they couldn’t believe DAY6 themselves managed to perform through it. But, despite the less-than-ideal scent, the group powered through with a stellar show.

This isn’t the first time a major K-Pop event has been derailed by poop-related drama, with fans at the 2024 Hanteo Music Awards complaining about an overwhelming odor so bad that even idols were spotted holding their noses. But, while a netizen did come forward claiming they were the culprit who pooped themselves at the awards, no one has taken responsibility for the DAY6 stink yet.
