Recently, baseball fans expressed their frustration that the filming of the new tvN K-Drama Nice To Not Meet You shattered the LG Twins’ record-breaking victory.
The 2025 Shinhan SOL BANK KBO League match between Kiwoom Heroes and LG Twins occurred on August 31 at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.
The filming for the drama took place before the game, and Lee Jung Jae appeared on the field, creating a chaotic atmosphere.
There was also criticism that his presence during the pre-game warm-up period, particularly for filming the ceremonial first pitch, influenced the game’s outcome.
The game was scheduled for 6 PM, but the production team announced that filming would occur on the field and in the seats from 5:30 to 5:40.
Some pointed out that the players were unaware of the filming, and players who were supposed to be warming up were suddenly prevented from using the field due to filming. As a result, the LG players had to do pre-game stretching in the outfield.
Ultimately, Kiwoom won the game, ending LG’s 13-game winning streak. Fans now complain that the streak was broken due to the filming of the drama.
