Popular Actor Reportedly Forced To Sign Autographs For 12 Hours
Actor Lee Soo Hyuk’s agency belatedly released a statement following a report that the organizers overworked him at a fan meeting in China due to unreasonable demands.

On August 30, he held his first fan meeting in Hangzhou, China, which gained him much attention and sold out within minutes of ticket sales.
However, Taiwan’s EBC reported that the organizers oversold tickets, forcing Lee Soo Hyuk to sign autographs for thousands of fans for nearly 12 hours. Eyewitness accounts also revealed Lee Soo Hyuk staggering in the venue, drenched in sweat due to the venue’s air conditioning malfunction.

Fans also strongly protested against the organizers for overworking the artist and continued to call for the actor’s health and safety.
To this, his agency, Saram Entertainment, released an official statement on September 3.

“Hello, this is Saram Entertainment. First, we sincerely thank all the fans for their interest in Lee Soo Hyuk’s first fan meeting in Hangzhou. Every moment spent with fans and artists is always special and precious. Therefore, we deeply regret the unexpected circumstances that occurred during the event. We will do our best to move forward in a better direction, using this incident as an opportunity.
Above all, we hope that our artist, who has it all despite the circumstances, and the fans who support him, will never lose their sincerity. We hope this event will remain a precious memory for everyone.
We will use this experience as an opportunity to work even more closely with the relevant parties to better prepare for future events. We would like to express our gratitude to all the partners, staff, and organizers who made this fan meeting possible. We cherish not only those who attended but also everyone who has always supported him, and we will continue to support him for future activities. Thank you.”
K-Netizens were appalled at the poor management from his agency.

- “I can’t imagine how hard it was for him…he must be so exhausted.”
- “OMG…12 hours?”
- “What is the point of having an agency?”
- “Not two hours but 12? Was the agency just going to look at him until he fainted?”
- “Even if they use a Chinese organizer, doesn’t the agency still look at all the schedules? Isn’t it standard to check the times of the schedules?”
