Deleted Post Hints At Actress-Actor Couple’s Break Up

Has a celebrity couple’s romance quietly come to an end? A deleted post has triggered speculation about a break up.

Zhong Chu Xi (also known as Elane Zhong or Elaine Zhong), is a Chinese actress best known for her role in the 2019 film The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang. She has acted in a number of films and TV series since 2013, including the 2024 movie Her Story. On February 14 last year, Valentine’s Day, Zhong officially announced that she was dating her Born to Run co-star, Hou Wen Yuan on social media.

Hou (also known as Terry) is a Chinese actor who made his acting debut in the 2018 series Qing Dynasty Detective 2. Most recently, he played the male lead in the 2025 medical drama, Fight for Beauty. 

Zhong recently deleted the Weibo post that she announced her relationship with last year, leading netizens to wonder about the couple’s relationship status. According to Chinese media, an insider who is close to the stars revealed that Zhong and Hou split months ago without announcing their break up.
