In them, the stars playfully wiped cake on each other’s noses, and their closeness raised questions about whether or not their relationship is strictly professional. The Shadow Love production team swiftly shut down these rumors, explaining that the dinner was a group gathering for the crew, and that it took place after filming for the variety show Hello Saturday. 

Soon after this, Song Yi and Cheng Lei released promotional Shadow Love photos that rekindled the rumors, including romantic behind-the-scenes pictures, after the series finale aired on September 7.

Now, Song Yi’s social media activity is adding fuel to the fire. On social media, she reportedly unfollowed Bae Jing Ting, who has been caught up in his own dating rumors lately. Bai’s onscreen chemistry and matching “couple” outfits with his The First Frost co-star, actress Zhang Ruo Nan, have eagle-eyed netizens wondering if these two are taking their onscreen romance into the real world.
