Former SM Entertainment Idols Reveal New Details About Their Upcoming Wedding
Former SM Entertainment trainee Xu Yi Yang is giving fans updates about her wedding plans.
Last July, Xu, who was a member of SM Rookies, and Huan Zi Tao (formerly EXO‘s Tao) hard-launched their relationship on the Chinese social media app Douyin. The couple shared romantic videos and photos, including beautiful moments at the beach.
On December 2, 2024, Tao wrote, “Goal is achieved,” posting several photos of himself with his now-wife. In the photos, they held Chinese marriage certificates (known as buzheng), which are issued upon official marriage registration.
The couple is officially married, but they haven’t had a wedding ceremony yet. During a recent live broadcast, Xu revealed that she and Tao will be having a slightly untraditional wedding. “We don’t want a complicated ceremony,” she said, “It’s just going to be a party for everyone to enjoy.” As such, the couple has decided not have have bridesmaids or groomsmen.
This is a contrast to what Tao told fans in the past, that he was preparing a “grand celebration.” Will it be a laidback party or a fairytale spectacle? Who will be invited? Only time will tell! The wedding is rumored to be taking place sometime in October, but the couple hasn’t announced the date yet.
