Rowoon is stepping into a completely new image for his latest project, and fans are stunned by how different he looks.
Usually known for his soft visuals and charming smile, the actor has taken on a darker, rougher appearance for the upcoming Disney+ historical K-Drama The Murky Stream.
In the upcoming series, Rowoon plays Jang Si Yul, a man forced to survive in a corrupt society where power and wealth dictate everything. The character poster shows him with dirt-stained skin, messy hair, and a piercing gaze, a striking contrast from his usual polished and gentle look.

The Murky Stream follows characters in Gyeonggang, a place where Joseon’s wealth and resources gather, as they fight against corruption and attempt to carve out a life worth living. Alongside Rowoon, the drama stars Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, and Park Ji Hwan.
The series will premiere exclusively on Disney+. The first three episodes will air on September 26, followed by two episodes weekly, for a total of nine episodes.
