Popular Male Idol’s Unusual Livestream Attracts 14 Million Viewers
Some celebrities chat with fans, answer questions, give sneak peeks, or sing songs during their live broadcasts. One idol decided to eschew those norms and do something a little different.

Jackson Yee (also known as Yi Yangqianxi) is a Chinese actor, singer, and member of the boy group TFBoys. He has starred in TV series such as The Longest Day in Chang’an and films, including Full River Red and Big World.

Recently, Jackson started a livestream by greeting his fans, then staying quiet for the livestream’s 17-minute duration. During that time, Jackson stacked stones on top of each other, attracting 13.7 million viewers within the first 8 minutes. He racked up over 14 million viewers by the time he abruptly ended the livestream.

“The big one looks too ugly,” Jackson said, referring to a rock. “So boring. I am done. Bye.” Then he was gone, leaving fans with more questions than answers.

What will he do next time?
