Where Are They Now? All But One Of BIGHIT Music’s Trainee A Team Has Official Plans For Debut
In 2021, BIGHIT Music introduced Trainee A, a pre-debut group that gained massive popularity among netizens. The final seven-member lineup was popular, and many netizens anticipated their debut.
However, the group never debuted and was disbanded, with each member going their separate ways. Since then, most of the members have already or have made plans to make their debut in the near future.
1. Jihoon
Member Jihoon was one of the original trainees introduced by BIGHIT Music.
Jihoon made a slight change, debuting under another HYBE company as a member of TWS in January 2024
2. Yorch
Yorch was actually the one to confirm that Trainee A was no more and that their plans for debut had been scrapped.
He made his solo debut in April 2023 and was one of the members announced to debut in POW the same year.
3. James
James was one of the original members introduced by the company.
He remained with BIGHIT Music and has since debuted as a member of CORTIS.
4. Leo
Member Leo ended up leaving Trainee A in August 2022 after a scandal.
Leo went on to make his solo debut and was recently ranked number six in Boys II Planet, confirming his debut as a member of ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ADP1).
5. Woochan
Before Trainee A, Woochan was active as a solo artist and known for his participation in Show Me The Money.
Woochan has since made his debut as a member of ALLDAY Project.
6. Sangwon
After the group’s activities ended, Sangwon was active without making an “official” debut.
In addition to being announced as a member of Leo & Sangwon back in May, Sangwon will be debuting as a member of ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ADP1) after Boys II Planet.
7. JJ
JJ is the only member of the project’s final lineup who has not officially made his debut.
Many were shocked when JJ, now known as Justin, was revealed as one of the trainees in SM Entertainment’s SMTR25 team. While he has activities as a member of the team, his debut is not officially planned, as SM Rookies have sometimes ended up not debuting.
8. Junil
Junil is not included in the “official” list, as he left the group in 2021, and their activities continued afterward.
Still, Junil has not yet made his debut, and most recently competed on Boy II Planet, where he placed 21st overall. He is currently a trainee at INKODE, and it is believed he will debut in their upcoming boy group.
9. Inhyuk
Inhyuk is also not considered a part of the “official list” as he was revealed to not be a debut candidate in January 2022, and the group continued activities after.

Inhyuk seemingly has stepped away from trainee life, and is active on social media instead. This makes him the only Trainee A member to not have some sort of public plans at the moment.
