5 Disappointing K-Drama Series That Viewers Stopped Watching In September

These shows aren’t worth finishing, according to viewers.

When an exciting, new show is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists. Unfortunately, some highly anticipated new series (and older ones) fell flat for viewers in September 2025. Here are 5 K-Dramas that viewers couldn’t finish watching.

1. Twelve

Twelve is a fantasy action superhero series about 12 angels who must protect the Korean Peninsula from evil spirits. It aired on KBS2 from August 23 to September 14.

Twelve has a star-studded cast that includes big names like Ma Dong Seok, Park Hyung Sik, and Seo In Guk, but that wasn’t enough to keep some viewers watching.

3. Bon Appétit, Your Majesty

This fantasy romance series premiered on August 23 on tvN and Netflix. It tells the story of a French-trained chef who is suddenly transported back in time to the Joseon era. There, after a mishap or two, she becomes the royal chef for King Lee Heon, a food-obsessed tyrant.

This record-breaking series quickly became a fan-favorite, but even the most popular shows aren’t for everyone. One viewer who dropped the series wasn’t a fan of the male lead character. Another didn’t like the female lead’s acting and found the story “lukewarm.”
