A scandal-ridden actor who stepped away from all public activities was recently photographed out in public by fans.
Xu Kai is a Chinese actor and model whose popularity has been on the rise since 2018. He is best known for his roles in the television series Story of Yanxi Palace, The Legends, Falling Into Your Smile, and Royal Feast. The 30-year-old star has been making headlines since actress Xu Li Sha revealed that she dated him up until 2022. On Weibo, she also claimed that Xu Kai, who is reportedly single, cheated on her and is currently dating someone new.
Xu’s image took a massive hit because of the allegations, and his then-airing series, Moonlit Reunion, became embroiled in controversy. As a result, he withdrew from all public activities.
Amid the fallout, Xu Li Sha claimed that the cheating allegations had been a prank. She said that she wanted to “tease” Xu Kai after he exited a WeChat group, and had playfully warned him that, “If you leave, I’ll see you on Weibo.” After he left, Xu Li Sha used an account with 200 followers to post evidence, such as blurry hotel photos and screenshots, about Xu Kai’s personal life to annoy his fans and provoke his manager, Yu Zheng.
On October 6, fans spotted Xu dressed in black at Shenzhen Airport. He reportedly greeted fans by smiling and waving while heading to his gate.
Though his destination has not been confirmed, reports indicate that he was flying to Hengdian World Studios, a film studio in Dongyang, China, to film his upcoming series The Order of the Wind.
