Exposed: Popular Male Idol Cheats On Girlfriend With Younger Girl Group Member

It has been alleged that JO1‘s Shosei Ohira cheated on his girlfriend with a member of a girl group under the same label, ME:I.

Japanese outlet Shukan Bunshun, similar to Korea’s Dispatch, first teased the release of the information, mentioning that a JO1 member was involved in a two-timing incident.

According to the release on October 15, Ohira first began dating his girlfriend (A), who is a non-celebrity. In May of this year, while cleaning his house, the woman found a letter from the girl group member that expressed happiness over meeting Ohira.

The letter also allegedly included her wish for them to “be together forever.”

In September, his affair was caught again after he disguised messages from the girl group member under his manager’s name. The existence of a pledge offered by Ohira and his ex-girlfriend was also uncovered.

All of Mnet’s Japanese Produce groups.Lapone Entertainment reportedly confirmed the relationship and the existence of the pledge. JO1 debuted in 2020 following the first season of Produce 101 Japan, where he ranked 4th in the final episode.
