Drug Raid On Top Actress’s Home Reveals Her Live-In Foreign Boyfriend
Earlier this month, it was reported that Japanese actress Ryoko Yonekura was the subject of a drug investigation.

In a report from Japan’s Shukan Bunshun, it was alleged that she is under investigation by relevant Japanese authorities due to strong suspicions of involvement with drugs. The outlet used her recent activities as additional proof, starting with her lack of social media updates since August 2025.
According to the report, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare’s Narcotics Control Division had been monitoring her movements for about four months. This culminated in an alleged drug raid on her home, after which she departed the country to vacation across Europe. Ryoko Yonekura has since been inactive online, even skipping scheduled appearances, including an awards show.

The alleged exposé also served as a relationship reveal, with sources stating that her boyfriend, an Argentine dancer named Gonzalo Quescho, also resided in the home with her. Previously, she was rumored to be in a relationship after the man was seen entering her home with her in 2020, though no confirmation was given.
This alleged official investigation has given the relationship a title, something not previously done.

Yonekura began her career as a model in the nineties before transitioning to acting, becoming most known for her role as the title character in Doctor-X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon, in addition to dubbing characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She also became more well-known to international audiences through her role in the Netflix series The Journalist.
The actress was also previously married, having announced her divorce in 2016, two years after being wed.
