The legal system failed them.

At a recent event, a fan was caught taking upskirt photos of a member of KissBee. According to a statement from the group’s management, the fan confessed to taking the photos after he was questioned by on-site staff members. As a result, he has been banned for life from all KissBee events, and the agency is taking measures to strengthen security to protect KissBee.

According to KissBee’s management, a police report was filed immediately after the incident. However, the individual was not arrested because his actions did not fall under the legal definition of “voyeurism,” according to Japan’s current laws. KissBee’s management expressed their frustration with the police’s response but promised to still take legal action if a similar incident happens in the future.

KissBee Management has asked fans to avoid mentioning the incident to the members, and to refrain from speculating about the matter. However, one member, Ooe Rena, spoke up about the incident in an X (Twitter) post. She expressed her disappointment and asked fans to help create a safe environment for everyone.

At a recent event, someone secretly took upskirt photos of a member.

This was supposed to be an event where we could spend precious time with the people we love, so it’s truly disappointing that something like this happened.

To make sure this never happens again,

please help us create a space where everyone can feel safe.
