One idol shared her change in career trajectory in the most creative, yet shocking way.

In 2011, the J-Pop girl group Fairies debuted as a seven-membered group, before disbanding in 2020 after line-up changes.

Member Rikako Inoue felt that the group’s ending lacked “closure” and after a two year break from the industry, she rejoined, making her solo debut.

However, the end of the included another surprise — the reveal that she would become an AV (adult video) actress. She later explained that she was doing it because it was something she was interested in and that those in her life, including her mother who found out through news, had accepted her career change.

She debuted under the name Yotsuha Kominato in June 2022, shortly after the single release.

Surprisingly, she has continued to release music along with her career as an AV actress, her most recent single being in summer 2023. She is also active on her YouTube channel where she shares variety and lifestyle content.
