A viral post about aespa NingNing‘s poor attitude during a live has sparked a heated debate.

In September, NingNing hosted an Instagram Live session with fans.

While the live was a while ago, a user went viral after putting a clip of NingNing reading comments and seemingly denying doing them, and it had the caption, “If she was going to do the livestream like that, why did she even turn it on?”

Many netizens hit back at NingNing’s behavior, sharing that if she wasn’t going to answer requests, she shouldn’t have read the comments.

And if she’s not going to do it, why is she even reading the comments?

The power struggle with fans is insane. Has she gone nuts? LOL Who answers like that? Did making some money off fans buying albums make her lose her mind or something?

But if she’s going to reject all the fans’ requests, then she just shouldn’t do it at all. That’s not showing any respect to fans.
NingNing, did you even want to be an idol?

Yet, fans quickly defended the idol, explaining that the OP had taken the clip out of context from a very long live show where NingNing had done a lot for fans.

People were calling her cool and chill before, and now they’re saying she’s sensitive and acts like a bully. She streamed for over an hour and only refused two things; she answered everything else sincerely. I’m just so damn exhausted now.

It’s baffling. She streamed for over an hour, sang songs, showed her English study notes, and spoke in English, Korean, and Chinese, then someone uploads a one-minute clip and says not to do livestreams like that.

Netizens have raised scepticism about the number of viral “hate” tweets about aespa recently.
