BLACKPINK Fan Killed While Fighting The Hong Kong Blaze Just A Month Before His Wedding
On November 26, a blaze broke out in a high-rise apartment in Hong Kong’s Tai Po district, engulfing multiple residential towers.
Since then, it has been reported that 79 people have died, with 76 injured and more still missing. Police said they had arrested two directors and an engineering consultant on suspicion of manslaughter, stating the company’s responsible parties were “grossly negligent, which led to this accident and caused the fire to spread uncontrollably, resulting in major casualties.”

It was announced that a firefighter was among the initially reported deceased, who has been identified as 37-year-old Ho Waiho. He was found collapsed at the scene of the fire while saving residents and taken to a hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

Ho Waiho served at the Fire Services Department for nine years, and was set to marry his girlfriend of around ten years next month. She was heavily featured on his Instagram account, where he also shared his other interests, including being a BLACKPINK fan, as seen in one of his account highlights.

His fiancé referred to him as her superhero, saying that he had completed his mission and mourned his passing.

Fire Services Director Andy Yeung said that Ho’s performance was “valiant,” and one of many colleagues and friends to mourn the hero’s passing.
I am profoundly grieved at the loss of this dedicated and gallant fireman. All of our colleagues are deeply saddened by the loss of such a devoted comrade. On behalf of all our colleagues, I have offered the deepest condolences to his family.

The Hong Kong Sheung Kung Hui Welfare Council has launched a fundraising effort for fire victims, among other support initiatives, including grief support.
May all of the deceased rest in peace.
