JYP Entertainment’s head and co-chairman of the Presidential Commission on Popular Culture Exchange, J.Y Park (also known as Park Jin Young), praised his group Stray Kids.
On the 2nd, J.Y. Park posted a photo of Stray Kids on his personal Instagram account and expressed, “I’m just running out of superlatives…”
He added, “They have won grand prizes for JYP Entertainment and elevated the company’s pride. Thank you, I’m proud, and congratulations.”
He also thanked the fans, saying to STAY, “Your relentless support is truly amazing♡.”
Stray Kids’ new album, SKZ IT TAPE ‘DO IT,’ ranked No. 1 on the main Billboard 200 album chart. This ended the seven-week consecutive No. 1 streak of worldwide star Taylor Swift, drawing attention locally as well. With this achievement, Stray Kids became the first artist in the chart’s history since its inception in 1956 to have eight consecutive albums debut at No. 1.
Additionall, Stray Kids were named Album of the Year at the 2025 MAMA Awards held at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, one of the four grand prizes. They also won the Fans’ Choice Male Top 10 award, voted on by fans, bringing home two trophies in total.
