On December 14, a short clip from the Netflix series Simon Cowell: The Next Act began circulating across social media platforms. In the viral footage, one member of the seven-member group openly criticizes global K-Pop phenomenon BTS, dismissing the group in a way many fans found unnecessarily hostile.

The group — called December 10 — which was recently assembled through Cowell’s latest project, consists of members Cruz (19), Danny (16), Hendrick (19), John (17), Josh (17), Nicolas (16), and Sean (19). None of the members have officially debuted or released original music so far.

In the clip, Cruz mocks BTS’s ability to sell out Wembley stadium and bluntly labels BTS as “terrible.

If BTS can sell out Wembley Stadium in flipping five minutes, we could sell out Pluto in five minutes. Another planet. Nah, I’m serious. They’re terrible.

The remarks quickly sparked outrage among international fans, particularly ARMYs.

As the clip continued to spread, netizens speculated that the comments were an intentional attempt to provoke controversy and gain attention ahead of the group’s debut.
