Jun Hyun Moo’s Agency Makes Official Statement After Getting Wrapped Up In Park Na Rae’s “Injection Auntie” Controversy
Recently, as controversy over illegal medical practices by so-called “injection auntie” has been spreading, starting with broadcaster Park Na Rae, a scene of Jun Hyun Moo receiving an IV drip in a car has come back into the spotlight.
In response, Jun Hyun Moo’s agency SM C&C released an official statement on the 19th, saying, “The scene in question is from a 2016 episode of I Live Alone. At the time, Jun Hyun Moo’s throat condition was poor, so he received treatment with a consultation and prescription from a hospital doctor. Because there was not enough time before the filming schedule, under the doctor’s judgment, the process of completing treatment while moving was inevitably exposed on the broadcast.”
They added, “All medical procedures, except for the final part of the treatment, were carried out inside the hospital under medical staff’s judgment and prescription. There was no personal calling of medical professionals or receiving of illegal procedures.”
The agency further explained that the current allegations arose from misunderstandings caused by some scenes being discussed online without fully conveying the overall situation and context at the time.
They concluded by asking, “To prevent the spread of misinformation, we request restraint from baseless speculation and distorted interpretations.”
