Netizens have defended IVE‘s Wonyoung after the idol was hit with hate for her interactions with BLACKPINK‘s Jennie.
On December 20, both Wonyoung and Jennie attended the 2025 Melon Music Awards.
A video shared online showed Jennie and Wonyoung greeting each other.

In the video, IVE were making their way off the stage and as they approached the seating area, Jennie bowed, and then Wonyoung reciprocated it as she walked to her seat.
Yet, for some reason, Wonyoung was hit with hate from fans who thought that the young idol was being disrespectful, pointing to Jennie bowing first as the senior.
Yet, netizens fiercely defended Wonyoung, sharing confusion at why the idol was getting hate when it was clear that she greeted and reciprocated Jennie’s bow.
