“Produce 101” Trainee Accused Of Bullying By Popular YouTuber Issues Official Statement
Last week, a popular YouTube content creator accused an unnamed Produce 101 trainee of bullying.
At the time, while the YouTuber didn’t reveal the alleged perpetrator’s name, netizens were able to narrow the candidates down to just one – a trainee with the initials CTW.

On the 24th, Choi Taewoong, a member of the group BZ-Boys, posted an official statement from the law firm Hwaon.
In the released statement, Choi Taewoong’s legal representatives from law firm Hwaon stated, “Recently, YouTuber NareumTV posted videos on Instagram and TikTok suggesting that an idol who debuted after being eliminated from Produce 101 was a perpetrator of school violence in the fourth grade of elementary school, and suspicions have been raised that this person is Mr. Choi Taewoong.”
The law firm clearly denied the allegations, saying, “However, we firmly state that such suspicions are clearly false.”
They continued, “Mr. Choi Taewoong did not commit any violent acts as claimed by YouTuber NareumTV during his school years, nor did he cause any physical or mental harm. Nevertheless, following the posting of the video, subsequent reports have followed, and numerous malicious comments related to this have been posted on Mr. Choi Taewoong’s social media accounts, leading to the indiscriminate spread of unfounded rumors and severe defamation damages.”
The law firm added, “Therefore, on behalf of Mr. Choi Taewoong, law firm Hwaon has taken civil and criminal legal action regarding violations of rights due to the spread of false information, and we strongly request the immediate deletion of the related videos and posts currently online.”
They also stated, “We hope that no further harm will be caused by the spread of unverified claims and speculative content, and we will hold legal responsibility accountable until the very end to prevent any additional damage.”
