Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight is a youthful romance about Seo Yoon (played by Shin Sia), who suffers from anterograde amnesia and loses her memories of each day after sleeping, and Jae Won (played by Choo Young Woo), who fills her memories every day.
The film depicts the pure and thrilling first love of young men and women. So, what was lead actor Choo Young Woo’s first love like?
Shyly, Choo Young Woo began, “There is someone who immediately comes to mind when I think of first love.” He recalled, “The high school I attended required passing an entrance exam. After the exam and the class placement test, everyone gathered in the auditorium. Wearing our uniforms, the entire student body was seated, and among 400 students, the person who ranked first in the class placement test was called to the principal’s front. Watching her walk up to the podium felt like slow motion. She was cool. And it turned out we were assigned to the same class.”
He added, “She was really good at studying. Classes were divided by grade levels, and since we couldn’t have classes together, I worked hard because of her. I wanted to narrow the gap in our grades.”
Fortunately, “It didn’t end as an unrequited crush; we dated.” But he added, “I moved to Seoul to pursue acting, and I don’t know how she’s living now. The only news I heard was that she went to a prestigious university when I was twenty.“
