In the video, the OP explained that she’d met a few and, along with positive, she shared some negative and surprising ones that led her to say, “Why you should AVOID meeting K-Pop idols in Korea…”

“While in Korea, I met a lot of my favourite artists in private settings, but also in professional settings. So, I met a lot of them at clubs and also at events where there are not a lot of cameras around. I had positive but also negative experiences.

One positive one, actually being from yesterday, but the main reason you should avoid meeting them is the possibility of just being really disappointed with their actual character. Because being an artist goes way beyond singing and dancing, sometimes their personalities are also fake.

There was this one time that one artist that I used to really like showed me his middle finger. The other thing, another favorite artist of mine approached me and just introduced me to his girlfriend, which was super random. Like, mind you, I didn’t know him, I just knew his friend. The first words he told me were, ‘Nice to meet you, that’s my girlfriend.'”

It sparked a heated debate with some speculating on the idols, sharing their own experiences, and some emphasizing that idols are performers and it shouldn’t be surprising if their idol persona differs from their real personality.
