NewJeans’ (NJZ) Danielle Shifts Public Opinion With Latest Live Broadcast
Danielle’s livestream on January 12 appears to have caused a noticeable shift in public opinion, especially among Korean netizens who had previously been critical of her amid the ongoing dispute between the NewJeans members and ADOR.

Shortly after the broadcast, a post went viral on Pann questioning why Danielle continues to mention “Bunnies,” NewJeans’ fandom name, despite no longer being part of the group following ADOR’s termination of her contract.

However, instead of sparking another wave of backlash, the post was met with strong pushback in the comments.

Many netizens criticized the harsh tone of the original post and came to Danielle’s defense, pointing out her young age, the emotional weight of the situation, and her consistently gentle image.

- “Can you not write posts that make people lose faith in humanity? If anything, you’re the one with trash-tier character.”
- “And who the hell are you, lol?”
- “Whether she does it or not is up to her. What’s it got to do with you?”
- “I’m not even a NewJeans fan, just a casual fan of another group, but honestly, Danielle looks really kind, like she’s genuinely a good person. She’s young, too, and given everything she’s going through right now, it’s just sad. Do people really have to push her all the way to the edge like this? Just leave her alone…”
- “Min Hee-jin’s bootlickers are seriously psychopathic. Take responsibility for ruining Danielle’s life. If you hadn’t egged her on to file lawsuits, this wouldn’t have happened.”
The comments are a clear change compared to earlier stages of the ADOR–NewJeans conflict. During and shortly after the dispute began, Danielle, along with the other members, faced intense scrutiny and criticism online. Public sentiment at the time largely leaned toward skepticism, with many accusing the members of being irresponsible or manipulated.
