Not long after, SMTOWN‘s official social media account dropped an announcement regarding malicious comments and identified specific user accounts.

“Hello, this is SM Entertainment. We have recently confirmed that some users of the X (formerly Twitter) platform have been continuously and repeatedly posting and writing malicious content toward our artists, including the dissemination of false information, defamation, sexual harassment, personal attacks, insults, invasion of privacy, and other such acts. These illegal actions are causing significant mental harm to our artists, and we are proceeding with criminal complaints to take strict measures against such behavior and to protect the rights and interests of our affiliated artists.
Based on the reports received through KWANGYA 119 from fans, and the data collected through monitoring, we have reviewed the contents of the posts attached and have identified a total of 11 accounts that have continuously posted malicious comments targeting aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH.
They include 민*고릴라(@h*uaisl3v), 니*마(@o*onhn), 유*쉐(@B*iroChubby), 키*쥐(@h*ggeun), c*ssty(@c*ssty184701), l*kkk(@l*kkkk1672981), @e*rbtbfjdoe, @i*bfjdidhhdj, @n*cuterenjun, @I*eyanoko, and have submitted a criminal complaint to investigative authorities together with Sejong Law Firm (Limited). In addition to this complaint filing, we are currently reviewing malicious posts uploaded to various SNS platforms regarding other artists aside from aespa, RIIZE, and NCT WISH, and are preparing additional criminal complaints. We plan to continue expanding the scope of those subject to legal action.
Furthermore, we are collecting a large volume of evidence regarding the creation and dissemination of malicious rumors and false information related to our artists on platforms including DC Inside, Naver, Daum Cafe, Nate Pann, Instiz, Theqoo, MLB Park, FM Korea, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, etc., as well as the posting of content that mocks, despises, or contains sexually vulgar material, and the production or distribution of distorted content such as deepfakes. We will continue to pursue strict legal action without leniency through sequential criminal complaints and civil claims. In 2026 as well, SM Entertainment will continue to make our utmost efforts in all directions with the protection of our artists’ rights and interests as our top priority. We sincerely ask for your continued interest and cooperation. Thank you.”
