50-Episode K-Drama’s “Worst Ever” Plot Slammed With Scathing Backlash
KBS2’s weekend K-Drama Our Golden Days has recently faced a wave of backlash from viewers, particularly over a controversial storyline in its latest episodes.

The K-Drama, which tells the story of older and newer generations learning the true meaning of family, premiered on August 9, 2025, and airs every Saturday and Sunday at 8:00 p.m. It recently aired its 50th episode!

Unfortunately, it seems a recent storyline has sparked backlash among viewers, with a post on TheQoo summarizing the audience’s grievances going viral.

The male lead develops an incurable disease and faces a critical situation. His younger brother, who is his guardian, calls their father.
The father answers the phone and, while trying to catch a taxi, crosses the street and gets seriously injured in a traffic accident. The father ends up donating his organ to the male lead… So the male lead survives, and the father dies lol wtf.

In the comments, other viewers echoed the post’s criticism and even claimed the storyline has ruined the viewing experience for them.

- “Really the worst, especially the male lead… From episode 1 to the end, completely unlikable.”
- “This is peak of ridiculous drama!!”
- “The actors must have been thinking, ‘What is this… is this really right???’ lolololol”
- “Truly impressive…”
- “The worst. Don’t watch it, it just makes you mad.”
