Controversial Actress Bashed For Recent Casting Controversy
Recently, the triple-casting for the musical Anna Karenina has caused a stir in the industry.
The production company announced the casting schedule, which revealed a significant gap in the number of appearances between the lead actresses, sparking criticism online.

According to the schedule, Ok Joo Hyun will perform the most stages with 23 appearances, followed by Lee Ji Hye with eight and Kim So Hyang with seven.
Although many are interpreting this as a strategic decision to boost box office, having one actress take over more than half the show is receiving negative responses.
As the controversy continues to grow, Kim So Hyang also posted a message on Instagram, interpreted as an indirect response to her feelings about the matter.

Night, night, night. I have a lot to say, but won’t say it.
Many felt that, although she didn’t specify, many interpreted it as a sentiment towards Ok, who took over the majority of the night’s performances.
In addition, many were shocked by the condition of her voice in the musical she is currently in. Considering she is still not finished with the musical and already plans to take on a new role, there will be no time for a break for her voice.
Netizens agreed that Ok Joo Hyun seemed too greedy and that she hadn’t changed at all from previous controversies.

- “I’m not into musicals, but the percentage for the role is too one-sided.”
- “So vicious…”
- “Isn’t it difficult to do that many performances yourself? Is it because of the pay?”
- “Does she have no one around her to tell her straightforward?”
- “The industry is part of the problem for continuing to cast her.”
- “Is her voice ok with that many performances?”
- “The industry is wack.”
Meanwhile, the musical will run at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts Grand Theater until March 29.
