The final episode of Extraordinary Attorney Woo achieved a viewership rating of 17.5%, the highest for an ENA K-Drama, and its popularity led to talks of a sequel. Back in 2022, Lee Sang Baek, CEO of Acetory (the K-Drama’s production company) confirmed that Extraordinary Attorney Woo would be getting a sequel. However, four years later, Season 2 still hasn’t happened yet.

Thanks to the support of many people, we will be producing season 2 of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Our hopeful golden time will be in 2024. Our goal is to have season 2 broadcast at that time.

In 2023, ENA reportedly started preparations for the sequel, including signing a contract with Season 1’s writer, Moon Ji Won. However, at the time, the production was halted at the “developmental stage” due to multiple problems.

Now, it seems that Extraordinary Attorney Woo is officially back on track! On January 29, Korean media reported that Season 2’s pre-production has begun, and Moon is currently writing the script. According to an industry insider, the sequel is progressing normally, which might indicate that the production’s past problems have been resolved.
