DJ Koo’s Heartbreaking Actions For Barbie Hsu On The 1st Anniversary Of Her Death

DJ Koo (also known as Koo Jun Yeop) unveiled a memorial sculpture he personally created to mark the first anniversary of his late wife, Barbie Hsu (also known as Seo Hee Won)’s passing.

On the afternoon of the 2nd (local time), a unveiling ceremony for the memorial sculpture was held in the Master’s Section of the Stele Forest at Jinbao Mountain Memorial Park in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, on Barbie Hsu’s first death anniversary.

Family members and close acquaintances, including DJ Koo himself, attended the event.

DJ Koo, who crafted the sculpture himself, said, “I made this sculpture in the hope that Barbie would always stay by our side.” He added, “Barbie often told me, ‘I am an alien from outer space.’ So I wanted to create a galaxy that belongs only to Barbie.

He further explained, “The direction Barbie is looking toward is approximately 208 degrees south. In that direction lies Taipei, where her family and I are, so she can always see us. At the same time, the number 208 represents our wedding anniversary, February 8.

After the unveiling, DJ Koo shared a handwritten letter on his social media account. In the letter written in Korean, he expressed, “Barbie, how is it there? Are you cold? Are you hot? I am always worried about you.” He continued, “When I sit absentmindedly on the edge of the empty bed in the morning room, I still wonder if this is reality or a dream… I hope it’s a dream, but my heart feels heavy and aches.

He concluded by revealing his deep longing: “Our Barbie… Barbie, when we meet again, let’s be together forever… forever. I miss you. I miss you so much. I miss you to death. Your eternal baldy oppa, Jun Jun.
