BTS’s Latest Light Stick Announcement Triggers Massive Backlash
What are your thoughts?
Recently, HYBE released a teaser video for BTS’s new official light stick.

In the Weverse notice, it announced the drop of BTS’s official light stick VER. 4. This upgraded version is being released about six years after the previous SE edition.
However, it also revealed that wireless control for the previous versions would only be supported until the Las Vegas concert in May. Starting with the Busan concert in June, wireless control will only be supported through the new VER. 4 version.

This sparked disappointment among netizens, who claimed they were being forced to purchase the new version.

- “I’m going to buy it, but not being able to connect with the older versions is annoying.”
- “If they won’t connect to previous versions, then they’re basically forcing everyone to buy the new version. HYBE really are a bunch of money crazy freaks.”
- “What the f*ck.”
- “I didn’t even use my SE edition that much. They’re going overboard, not letting the older versions connect.”
- “This is ridiculous, not allowing the other versions to connect. If they wanted to sell new ones, they should’ve come out with a crazy cool version so that people would want to buy it no matter what.”
- “They need some laws against this…think about all the plastic waste that will come out every time a new version comes out.”
