MBC‘s I Live Alone topped the weekly 2054 viewership ratings for entertainment programs in the first week of February, continuing its streak as the number one entertainment show for four consecutive weeks.
The sincere daily lives of the cast and their varied life temperatures consistently attract viewers, solidifying the show’s status as the strongest entertainment program.
In the episode aired on the 6th, the second feature of the “Rainbow Horse Run” special showcased bassist Han Kyung Rok of Crying Nut, celebrating his 30th debut anniversary, and Park Ji Hyun’s struggle to weather the winter.
According to Nielsen Korea, the household rating for “I Live Alone” in the metropolitan area was 5.7%, ranking first among Friday entertainment programs. The 2054 rating—a key indicator of channel competitiveness reflecting changes in media consumption—also reached 3.2%, securing first place among Friday entertainment shows and number one for the weekly 2054 ratings in the first week of February, maintaining the top spot for four weeks straight. The peak minute rating soared to 6.4%.
The episode’s “best minute” belonged to “Captain Rok” Han Kyung Rok. He confessed to moving from his longtime home ground in Hongdae to a new “Captain Rok House.”. Viewers were captivated by the surprising scene of him enjoying morning coffee he brewed himself while soaking up the sunlight. He demonstrated perfect balance in life, thriving as the energetic “Hongdae Leader Captain Rok” outside and focusing on self-dialogue as “Musician Han Kyung Rok” at home.
Park Ji Hyun brought laughter by revealing her own “winter survival story” to overcome cold and flu. Her day, including visits to a greenhouse and traditional market shopping, added simple pleasures.
