Dispatch Obtains Evidence On Min Hee Jin’s Role In NewJeans’ Contract Termination
On February 23, Dispatch released a lengthy exposé on Min Hee Jin and her plan to bring down NewJeans.
Min Hee Jin won the put option lawsuit. However, the secret to her victory was that she “explored, but failed to execute.” In short, her failed attempts led to her reaping ₩25.5 billion KRW (about $17.6 million USD).
But she didn’t just explore, she took action herself. The press conference held by NewJeans on November 28, 2024, announcing the termination of their contract, was conducted by Min Hee Jin.
Dispatch obtained evidence that Min Hee Jin directed the broadcast (from behind the scenes). They also secured testimony that Min personally wrote the press conference script and familiarized the members with it.

Min was also involved in preparing the rebuttal press release. She personally determined the timing and method of its distribution. Although the statement was released under NewJeans, the ghostwriter was Min Hee Jin.

On November 14, 2024, NewJeans sent a certified letter, officially requesting the reinstatement of Min Hee Jin as CEO. They also requested an apology from HYBE. The deadline for the response was two weeks.
Six days after sending the certified mail, Min Hee Jin submitted her resignation. After she resigned, NewJeans announced the termination of the contract. They defended Min, stating, “We didn’t speak with her separately. We believe the same views as CEO Min.”
However, she orchestrated the termination of NewJeans’ contract and resigned a week before the press conference, presumably to avoid liability for breach of trust.
Meanwhile, Dispatch also exposed text messages between Min and a group member’s mother.
