Min Hee Jin‘s legal representative, attorney Kim Seong Woo, has spoken out regarding the recent controversy over the leaked message from BTS’s V.

In an interview held immediately after the press conference, Attorney Kim clarified that the evidence was submitted with a request for confidentiality and that Min Hee Jin had no control over its public release.

Question: “In the lawsuit related to the put option dispute, a conversation between BTS’s V and CEO Min Hee Jin was submitted as evidence. The contents were later leaked, sparking controversy.”
Attorney: “There is nothing for us to comment on. When the evidence was submitted, we requested that the court keep it private. We do not know through what route the sealed evidence was reported by the media. We believe this is an issue that should be addressed by the media outlet involved and the court.”
Following this statement, Korean netizens quickly speculated that HYBE, rather than Min Hee Jin, was responsible for the leak.

- “Isn’t it obvious who leaked it? LOL. Do you actually want to believe that Min Hee Jin leaked it herself?”
- “So did HYBE get consent from everyone who was in those KakaoTalk chats with Min Hee Jin before spreading them to the media?!!!!! Why are HYBE stans always so inconsistent?”
- “Just stop it already, HYBE. Ugh.”
- “No, but seriously, who leaked it?”
- “Maybe it’s because I’m not a HYBE fan, but I honestly don’t get what Min Hee Jin supposedly did wrong… She submitted her own conversation privately, and the other side submitted even worse stuff. From the start, HYBE just looks more pathetic. Lawsuits are basically about throwing everything in anyway.”
