The livestream had many unexpected moments, from Jungkook jokingly “cussing out” his friend on camera to him seriously addressing his smoking controversy.

He then followed it up by stating that he couldn’t fully speak about it because of his company. However, the very next moment, he clarified that he wasn’t blaming his label but just trying to be more careful since the management works hard to protect him from potential harm.

This moment was unexpectedly interpreted by some as Jungkook trying to talk about his rumored romance with aespa member Winter. Some claimed he was trying to debunk it, while others said that he was “clearly” trying to acknowledge the relationship.

Despite how popular this discourse seems to have gotten on social media, in reality, it appears that he couldn’t actually voice what he was trying to address. Regardless, ARMYs have strongly pushed back against any forced interpretation of his words, vowing to simply be a safe space where all BTS members can freely express themselves.
