Netizen Claims They Are Being Sued By Min Hee Jin

Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin is alleged to have taken legal action against some netizens.

On the 26th, a post titled “Min Hee Jin who seems to have recently sued malicious commenters” was uploaded on an online community. The author, A, said, “I was sued in a civil lawsuit by former CEO Min Hee Jin,” explaining that they received a summons after commenting on a past post related to Min, saying “she is someone who uses situations as she pleases and is the most dangerous.

The author added, “The original comment was deleted, and I was sued in civil court, but I wonder if criminal charges will also be filed,” adding, “From news reports and other cases, civil lawsuits related to this person for comments typically involve small amounts around ₩100,000 KRW (about $70.10 USD) unless the comment is very severe, so it’s not a major concern. However, I’m worried that if a criminal lawsuit comes, it might be reported to my workplace.

In fact, Min had previously won cases against malicious commenters. In November last year, Judge Lee Gwan Hyung of Seoul Western District Court Civil Division 12 ruled partially in favor of Min in a damages claim lawsuit against six malicious commenters.

At the time, the court ordered five of the six defendants to pay ₩100,000 KRW (about $70.10 USD) each, and the remaining one to pay ₩200,000 KRW (about $140 USD). Min’s side had claimed ₩300,000 KRW (about $210 USD) in compensation per person, stating that the malicious commenters had committed insults and defamation online.

Meanwhile, Min, who has been in ongoing legal battles with HYBE, proposed on the 25th to halt all litigation entirely in exchange for giving up ₩25.6 billion KRW (about $17.9 million USD) she could receive from winning the first trial regarding a put option dispute.
