16-Year-Old 4th Generation Singer Accused Of Inappropriate Contact With Fans

A male singer’s agency is speaking out on his behalf to address rumors regarding his alleged interactions with fans.

16-year-old Wang Lujie is a member of TF家族四代 (TF Family 4th Generation), a trainee group under China’s TF Entertainment. The group currently has 15 members.

On February 26, rumors about Wang’s alleged behavior with fans emerged on Chinese social media. He has been accused of having “private contact” with fans: communicating with fans outside of official, public channels.

In response, TF Entertainment has stated that the rumors are unfounded and that Wang has never engaged in private contact with fans. The agency did not specify precisely what this rumored “private contact” allegedly entails, but they are taking the rumors seriously. TF Entertainment has collected evidence against the parties responsible for publishing malicious false information about Wang and made it clear that fabricated content won’t be tolerated.

In China, most idols follow strict rules dictated by their management regarding communication with fans, but this is especially true for trainees who have yet to make their official debuts. As such, false rumors of this nature could negatively impact Wang’s public image and damage his fledgling career.
