Idol-Turned-Actor Replaces ASTRO’s Cha Eunwoo In Military Duty Following Tax Evasion Scandal
An idol-turned-actor is joining the Defense Media Agency’s channel “KFN Plus” series That Day in the Military as the new storyteller. The change has drawn attention as it follows the removal of all videos featuring ASTRO member and actor Cha Eunwoo, who has recently been accused of tax evasion.
That Day in the Military is a series featuring celebrities serving in the military who introduce military history and related personalities. Past participants have included actor Song Kang and NCT’s Taeyong, drawing significant interest. Cha Eunwoo had joined as the new storyteller last year and appeared in four episodes, but after the tax evasion allegations, all related videos were removed, increasing public interest in his successor.
According to a report by Hankook Ilbo on the 5th, former SF9 member and actor Rowoon, currently serving in the military, has confirmed his appearance as the storyteller for That Day in the Military and is preparing for filming.

All videos featuring Cha Eunwoo as the storyteller on the That Day in the Military list are now set to private with the message “This video is unavailable.” With Rowoon stepping into this role, the content is ushering in a new direction.
Rowoon enlisted as an active-duty soldier in the Army on October 27 last year. Originally scheduled to enlist on July 21, he underwent a re-examination after initially receiving a Grade 7 (limited service) evaluation during his military physical, but after appealing and retesting, he was classified as fit for active duty and enlisted.
Rowoon debuted in 2016 as a member of the group SF9 and has built his acting career through roles in various dramas. Since leaving SF9 in 2023, he has focused on acting.
