Girl Group Idol Admits To Negative Feelings When Comparing Popularity With Fellow Members
A female K-Pop idol confessed that even after debuting with a famous group, she never felt completely at ease.
On the 10th, Soyou of SISTAR appeared in a video uploaded on YouTube. In the video, Soyou said, “Even after debuting with SISTAR, my mind was never at ease. When people think of SISTAR, they always think of Hyorin, Bora, and Dasom first. I felt like I was the one without presence.”

She continued, “The best moment of my life still seems to be with ‘Some.’ We were number one for 12 weeks. Because we did so well for so long, people said things like ‘Are you guys on TV again?’ and I even got sharp looks from other agencies. I’m the type to pick up on these cues a lot, so I experienced some panic back then. That was really hard.”
Regarding her current life, Soyou said, “Right now, life is pretty boring. When I wake up, I go to the fitness center and spend more than three hours there. But I often hear that this kind of ordinary daily life is actually precious.” She added with anticipation, “I heard that from this year and for the next three years, my luck will be really good. So I’m planning to try everything I want to do.“
