In a previous interview to celebrate ENHYPEN’s then-anniversary, Sunghoon expressed his hope that the members could pursue solo performances while still remaining together as a group.

Question: Do you have a goal for the future?

Sunghoon: I want to keep working together far into the future. I’d like to see everyone do solo performances later on while still keeping the team together.

Now, after Belift Lab confirmed Heeseung has departed the group to focus on solo releases and activities, many fans feel that Sunghoon’s wish is no longer possible.

Others have shared heartbreak over the idea that the agency’s approach may prevent other members from exploring individual musical projects without leaving ENHYPEN.

On March 15, BeLift Lab insisted that Heeseung would not return to the group despite ongoing fan protests. The agency also claimed that due to ENHYPEN’s busy schedule, it would have been impossible to pursue solo releases while staying a member.
