Recently, the series Girl From Nowhere returned with a spin-off titled Girl From Nowhere: The Reboot.

The spin-off stars “Becky” Rebecca Armstrong as a new version of Nanno, and is currently airing weekly on Netflix.

The show faced some backlash from its initial announcement, including criticisms of Becky’s acting and a recently cancelled collaboration.

However, the latest criticism surrounding the show has nothing to do with its content.

Girl From Nowhere and its spin-off both focus on Nanno’s adventures as a mischievous, supernatural entity who seeks to punish wrongdoing in high schools. For example, an episode from the show’s second season shows a boy who previously got many girls pregnant becoming pregnant himself.

Girl From Nowhere: The Reset‘s second episode shows Nanno dealing with a group of voyeuristic young men who have already victimized others by taking inappropriate photos.

It seems for the episode, the idol-actor pairing of LAZ1 members “Offroad” Kantapon Jindataweephol and “Daou” Pittaya Saechua hosted a screening party, where they imitated the scene.

During this, one dressed as Nanno, as the other mimed the scene where Nanno holds the phone camera under her skirt while laughing.

In response, many were outraged by the pair’s behavior with such a serious topic and seemingly missing the point of the episode.

Daou shared an apology after, claiming to have realized how inappropriate it was.

However, this was also met with harsh responses, accusing the actor of only making the apology due to the backlash.
