Ulzzang Generation Yoo Hye Joo opens up about rumors of her husband’s affair.
On the 22nd, Yoo Hye Joo uploaded a video titled I’m speaking about my husband’s affair for the first time on YouTube.
In the video, Yoo Hye Joo said, “This story is a bit long. When Yoo Jun was born, did you hear it first, oppa?”
Her husband, Jo Jung Yeon, said, “When Yoo Jun was a newborn, the 24 hours weren’t enough while taking care of him. During that time, my colleagues kept calling and asking, ‘Did you hear the rumor that you’re having an affair?’ ‘Brother, did you hear this?’ At first, it was just absurd.”
He added, “It was ridiculous and even funny. When I was working, I had heard rumors about someone else, but as I became more well-known at my company, the rumor target’s name changed to mine.”
He continued, “I know how these rumors start, so we can’t even trace who’s spreading them. We just accepted it, thinking, ‘Oh, whatever,’ since it’s not true. It’d be silly for me to say, ‘I’m not having an affair,’ right?”
Yoo Hye Joo explained, “The rumor was that while I was pregnant with Yoo Jun, oppa was having an affair with a female flight attendant at his company, who supposedly didn’t know he was married at first but found out later and got so angry that she asked others to spread the rumor.”
She added, “The rumor was very specific. It often pops up on online communities and even on platforms like Blind. Honestly, these are baseless rumors, and we don’t want to waste energy responding to them. Since it’s not true, there’s no reason for us to bring it up, but staying quiet only made the rumors grow, to the point that even our editor was asked to inquire about it,” she said with a laugh.
In particular, Yoo Hye Joo stated, “Honestly, if oppa or I were having an affair, there’s no way we’d be able to shoot content like this.”
Yoo Hye Joo is a shopping mall CEO who appeared on the cable variety show Ulzzang Generation 5 in 2011. She married an older flight attendant in 2019, who has since resigned from his job.
