In 2017, at 41, Shen married her then 26-year-old husband, Eagle Liang, after discovering she was pregnant, though she suffered a miscarriage at four months, followed by four more miscarriages. In the past, she opened up about her husband’s cheating, revealing that he had done so several times, and just was “used to it” by that point.

She battled stomach cancer, which in turn decreased her desire for sex, only worsened by them being “mismatched” partners. She also openly admitted to “hating him” and not wanting him to touch her.

Earlier this month, Liang was found guilty of raping a female artist that he manages and was sentenced to four years and ten months in prison. The female artist has spoken out about the assault, revealing that she was reliant on him to get her jobs, which he then used to his advantage and also destroyed her confidence.

He spoke very harshly about me, saying that no one would want me because I’m so old, and that I was ‘picking up what other people didn’t want!’

Liang previously denied Shen a divorce, stating that he still loved her; however, under Taiwan’s Civil Code, she will likely be able to seek a court-ordered divorce because he will be imprisoned for over 3 years.
