BTS‘s comments about V‘s weight and physique after his military discharge have come under serious criticism.
Leader RM came under fire for commenting on V’s weight, saying he preferred him when he was “skinny.”
Recently, V made an appearance to promote the comeback.
One clip has sparked major backlash after the idol spoke about his muscular physique, especially after netizens had loved seeing him bulk up. Yet, V explained that while he tried to keep his promise to stay healthier for fans, after speaking to the members upon discharge, he decided to lose weight as the members looked at him and asked if he was “retiring.”

When the clip was shared, netizens were angry at the way V had been treated by the members, and whether it was serious or not, the comment had impacted him enough to drop drastic amounts of weight.
